Vamos de aplicativos de línguas (Let's talk about language apps!)

 I started studying Korean last year, not my first language and probably it won't be my last. Last week I decided to pick up Chinese too, after some debate with myself (I did started learning other languages and stopped afterall...). Now I decided to show some apps that I use or use that may help you in your journey.

And it's a nice thing to do during the pandemic, those apps usualy don't demand a lot of time and are kinda like a game, and to me that's a bonus. 

Eu comecei a estudar coreano ano passado, não é a primeira língua estrangeira que eu aprendi e não deve ser a última. Semana passada eu decidi aprender Chinês também, depois de alguma indecisão (porquê eu já tentei aprender outras línguas e abandonei no meio...). Então eu decidi trazer uns aplicativos que podem ajudar na sua jornada.

E é uma coisa legal de fazer durante a pandemia, normalmente não precisa de muito tempo e eles se parecem com joguinhos, +bonus.

DUOLINGO

You probably know about duolingo, or you know about the assassin owl of duolingo. It teaches languages in a game style where you learn and you complete the branches of the tree of language. There's a lot of options of languages, and including the language you are learning from. It's free but there's a membership, but I've never used it.

Você provavelmente já ouviu falar do duolingo, ou da sua coruja assassina. O app ensina línguas num formato de jogo, onde você completa galhos da árvore da língua. Tem várias opções de língua e isso depende da língua que você vai usar para aprender. É de graça, mas tem um pacote de assinante, mas eu nunca usei.

LINGODEER

Lingodeer is an app in the style of duolingo, but it's focused on asian languages (if you ever tried to study an asian language in duolingo you should know it's not the best). This was the app that gave me a lot of basics of korean including hangul (the alphabet). It's free until a certain point, then you can get a membership (I didn't continue after that, because broke college student motives).

Lingodeer é um aplicativo tipo o duolingo, mas com foco em línguas asiáticas (se você tentou usar o duolingo para uma dessas, sabe que não é a melhor opção). Esse é o aplicativo que me ensinou o básico de coreano, incluindo hangul (o alfabeto). É de graça até um certo ponto, então funciona com assinatura (que eu não fiz e não continuei por motivos de universitária sem dinheiro).

MEMRISE

Memrise is an app of flashcards, I actually use it for learning vocabulary from how to study korean, but you can use the courses from the app or what others created. But to be able to learn with others courses you need to start the course on the browser and then it should show on the mobile app. It's an issue from some time, but it's not a big one. 

Memrise é um aplicativo de flashcards ou cartões de memória. Eu uso ele para aprender vocabulário pelos decks do site how to study korean, mas ele tem seus próprios cursos e os criados por outros. Mas para usar outros cursos você tem que iniciar pelo browser e então eles aparecem no app. É um problema que acontece já faz um tempo, mas não é nada muito ruim.

HELLOCHINESE

It also looks like duolingo, but only for Chinese. The way it teaches the characters is what got me, since it shows the order stroke and it let's you revise it. Free, but there's a membership to use some functions. I haven't use it a lot yet since I just started Chinese language, like the imersion function.

De novo, parece com o duolingo, mas é só sobre Chinês. O jeito que ele ensina os caracteres é o que me fisgou, porque ele ensina a ordem dos riscos e te deixa revisar só isso. É de graça, mas tem uma assinatura para usar algumas funções (como os jogos, mas normalmente tem um gratuito por dia) e tem uma função de imersão que eu não usei porque eu acabei de começar Chinês.

SKRITTER

If you want to learn Hanzi this is the one. Again it shows the order strokes and let's you test then. There's also videos and it's separated by categories (like numbers).

Para ler Hanzi eu uso esse aplicativo. De novo, mostra a ordem dos riscos e te deixa testa-los. Também têm vídeos ensinando sobre eles e é separado por categorias (como números).

HANDTALK

This is for the Portuguese speakers that want to learn LIBRAS (Brazillian Sign Language). It's a translator, that have some vocabulary lists too. It have options to show the sign slower and it's still develping and growing bigger vocabulary. It works showing a character (named Hugo) that makes the signs.

Para quem fala Português e quer aprender LIBRAS (Língua de sinais brasileira). É um tradutor que também tem listas de vocabulário. Também tem opções de mostrar os sinais mais lentamente e ainda está em desenvolvimento com cada vez mais vocabulário. Ele funciona mostrando um bonequinho (que se chama Hugo) fazendo os sinais.

ANKI

Anki it's a flashcard app that you can use for any kind of studies. For languages I use for more random vocabulary (usually the ones I encounter while watching or reading something). There's a lot of options for you flashcards and the system separates the time you should use in between revision sesions. 

Outro aplicativo de flashcards que você pode usar para vários tipos de estudos. Para línguas eu uso para vocabulário que eu vou encontrando (quando leio alguma coisa, ou enquanto assisto algo em outra língua). Tem várias opções de flashcards e o próprio sistema separa de quanto em quanto tempo você precisa revisar cada um.

BEELINGUAPP

A good one for immersion, there's stories where you can read in the language you're learning and the one you're learning from and listen (like an audiobook). Then it quizzes you on what you read. Some stories are free, some are paid, but it also let's you search for interests and level of the language.  

Esse é bom para imersão, tem histórias para ler na língua que você quiser com a tradução, e você também pode escutar (como um audiobook). Depois de ler ele te oferece um quiz sobre o que você leu. Algumas histórias são gratuitas, outras pagas, mas você também pode procurar por nível e por interesses.
